Snuggie® fans and amateur filmmakers have cast, directed and edited their most creative and original videos inspired by the famed blanket-with-sleeves and now it’s your turn to vote to determine who will take home the top honors at the first-ever Snuggie® Choice Film Awards. Six finalist videos have been selected and uploaded to SnuggieFanClub.com for all of America to cast their vote. Voting opens today and concludes October 15.
Finalist videos were selected by a panel of judges and based on criteria that included originality, creativity, adherence to assignment, and overall appeal. The lucky finalists include:
- “Snuggie Rap Kidz” by Dorothy Benson of Leesburg, Virginia
- “Snuggie Stud” by Tara Deem of Dallas, Texas
- “Snuggie = Love” by Young Kim of Parker, Colorado
- “Snuggie Chase” by Dustin McLean of Pasadena, California
- “Teach YOU How to Snuggie” by Jesse Meeker of Oakland, California
- “Do the Snuggie Dance” by Scott O’Lane of Mason, Ohio
Each finalist will be flown to the Snuggie® Choice Film Awards premiere event in New York City on October 20th, where the winners will be announced. Each finalist will receive the entire 2010 Snuggie® blanket collection. The collection will be revealed in its entirety at the Film Awards. The best director will take home a $5,000 prize, with second- and third-place winners receiving $2,500 each.
